Accommodation
| "I lived in an extremely friendly and welcoming household who catered for all my needs. The rooms were nice and I had all the privacy I needed. The food was excellent too." |

We arrange accommodation in Oxford for students as requested. The choice is important as a student should feel at ease with, and supported by, his or her domestic surroundings.
Continuing support is available to students in accommodation arranged by the college and all students are offered practical help with any domestic or personal issue; we aim to nurture a sense of well-being as this is likely to increase motivation and, therefore, the chances of examination success.

Although a number of our students live locally, or at least close enough to the college to commute each day, many seek help in finding suitable accommodation in Oxford. The Student Officer helps students in selecting lodgings, or hostel accommodation. Thereafter, a continuing interest is taken in each student’s domestic circumstances, with help and advice being offered as required. The most common form of accommodation arrangement is to take a room in a private house, with a family or landlady.
A student living with a family has a single bedroom, normally with breakfast and evening meal provided. Some of these homes offer self-catering facilities if students wish to cook their own meals. Close contact is maintained with host families, most of whom have been housing our students for a number of years. All accommodation new to the college is carefully inspected before being recommended to students. The college has a student hostel in North Oxford, which houses eleven students and is supervised by a resident warden. Rooms in this hostel are normally taken for a full academic year. Meals are not provided; there are two kitchens in the hostel for student use. Places are filled quickly and further details should be discussed with the Student Officer. The minimum age for hostel occupants is 18 years.
